The first time Lisa Mitchell, minister-in-charge, tried Soulspace it didn’t attract many people, but she remainders ‘encouraged by the vision behind it and the potential it offers as a gentle and accessible way for people to explore faith, prayer and spirituality.’
As she and the Ministry Team have considered how Soulspace might contribute to their outreach and discipleship ministry, they are wondering if Soulspace might sit alongside an Alpha course planned for September 2026.
Might Soulspace providing a welcoming space for those who wish to continue exploring faith beyond Alpha or who may be looking for a different point of connection with the church?
Their hope is to establish a regular Soulspace slot that could evolve over time with different themes and opportunities for reflection, prayer and conversation. They are still in the discernment stage, but there is genuine interest in exploring how it might develop.
