Jane Henderson leads a group of eight 13-18 year olds from a variety of backgrounds. Most are on a journey to faith and some are entirely new to church.
The group eats bread, discusses a topic, breaks bread and prays, and then clears up. They now use an adapted version of Soulspace for their closing worship.
Soulspace for them involves lighting some candles, discussing three questions to reflect on what they’ve talked about earlier, and prayer based on each person identifying a word to take away with). Jane is slowly adding in elements, such as more structured prayer.
She finds Soulspace ‘a really easy way of adding worship into a group. It doesn’t feel churchy. It’s easy to adapt and easy to use.
