Comes from 25+ years of practical experience and theological reflection about church planting, ‘fresh expressions of church’ and new forms of Christian community.
Emerged in 2024 from the Church of England Greenhouse Initiative, which enables teams starting new worshipping communities to join a community of practice (‘Greenhouse’). Now ecumenical.
First piloted in late 2024. Language was too ‘churchy’, there was not enough encouragement to adapt Soulspace, and more options were needed.
Revised version piloted in 2025/26. Good feedback. See stories.
Big surprise: interest from youth and schools workers. Clearly has all-age potential.
‘Adopted’ by FX Resourcing in late 2025.
